The JBL Music App is the best companion software for all your JBL speakers! With it you can:
- Stream music from your mobile device to any JBL speaker using AirPlay or Bluetooth.
- Tweak and tune sound performance to suit your taste by adjusting audio equalization and enabling enhancement of compressed audio (with select speakers).
- Take control, switching audio sources or EQ modes and even changing themes of lighting modes remotely (for JBL Pulse).
- Upgrade your speaker software and find FAQs and owners manuals.

Pros and cons of JBL Music app for iPhone and iPad
JBL Music app good for
So here is the thing.....personally I find the app to be AUSOME as is the speaker, but I find that you guys should also put a on/off button for the speaker on the app because it will make it less of a pain to get out of your bed and go turn it off manually (I know it sounds like Im lazy and all but still)
But put on how much battery percent u have left on ur speaker and show it on ur phone
This is the best companion app for your jbl devices. I have the JBL Pulse and i cant stay without this app. Maybe JBL can put some EQ one day....
Some bad moments
it control the pulse fine
but very buggy user interface for the playlist, after adding song(s), the player gets stuck on a frame that stretches across 3 screens, from left to right this frame contains 1. the current playing song, 2. the playlist, 3. the category list
and u can slide them from left to right but tapping on items basically does nothing! this means u can not play, add/choose songs, etc
and if you keep messing at that page the iPhone will eventually hang and u will need a hard reboot!
I mean how did this app ends up in the App Store?!
Got this app and was exited to use it with my JBL pulse but no such luck. App constantly crashes when you open it regardless of what device your using. Hopefully JBL fixes it soon otherwise this app is a waste of time and the pulse isnt worth the money it costs.
Its hard to review this type of app when its not even compatible with an iPod Touch 3rd Gen. so, right off the start, you are batting a big fat 0 !
Start by going back to the beginning and make this App compatible with all iPods, especially the Touch. Once you have done this then, we can consider giving you some serious feedback on performance!!!
The light editor for the pulse speaker works well and the app is easy to navigate but it lacks features and the music player is rather unappealing and nothing special compared to others. JBL needs to add an equalizer to the music player and add a battery meter for your speaker. More unique light themes for the pulse would be appreciated or a full editor that allows you to completely create your own colour scheme, not just swap colours on pre-existing light shows.
Useless app just takes up space.
Just use the iPhone music app.
I am not able to used it because it crash just as it opens !!!
